A shared structural language

Most furniture hides its construction underneath the surface. Techno began with the Dining Table by resolving that question differently: the legs are developed as part of the tabletop’s structure rather than a support hidden underneath it, most visibly where the central stretcher runs straight through the top and emerges on the tabletop itself. That single decision set the logic for the rest of the collection: full symmetry, one thickness throughout, every edge rounded into a soft, capsule-like profile held to nine centimetres across the whole collection, a deliberate balance between robustness and refinement.

Diagonal bracing carries the structural load in every piece, and every joint ends in a visible round oak dowel, so the way each piece holds together is never hidden from view.

The oak is laminated solid oak, reclaimed from an old chair factory and seasoned for twelve years before it’s stable enough to build with. The dowels holding each piece together come from the last surviving stick factory in the Netherlands, in operation in Uitgeest since the 19th century.
